About the event
Dear Sir and Companion,
We are pleased to announce that the PGRAC of Glasgow annual quiz night will this year take place on Monday 5th. October at 7.00pm. Due to COVID-19, the quiz will take place via “Zoom” and for this year only, will be open to individual Companions and not to teams. Also, for this year, there will be no fee payable to enter the quiz.
To take part, Companions should email scribe.e.pgrac.glasgow@outlook.com to sign-up and confirmation that you have successfully registered will be provided.
The format will be similar as to previous years.
There will be several rounds of questions on differing subjects, with a break and a “picture round” at the halfway point, when you can replenish your glass and enjoy a half-time pie n’ beans.
The questions will be read out as well as being displayed on screen and it is expected that the quiz will last between 60/90 minutes. Companions will be required to mark their own score-card, therefore the Grand Superintendent confidently expects the highest scoring quiz since records began!
The raffle will be drawn by the Grand Superintendent once the quiz has concluded. Raffle tickets are now on sale at £5 per ticket. Tickets can be purchased by Bank Transfer. Payment should be made to “Provincial Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Glasgow” and the reference on the transaction should be “Quiz”.
If you do not have access to online banking, payment by cheque is perfectly acceptable. Cheques should be forwarded to Scribe E. and made payable to “Provincial Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Glasgow”.
Once payment has been made, you should contact Scribe E. informing him of the number of tickets bought. You will then be allocated the requisite number of tickets and the ticket numbers will be forwarded to you shortly after. It is important that you follow this step to ensure the tickets can be allocated to you. The raffle is open to all Companions in the Province and is not restricted to those participating in the quiz.
The quiz promises to be an enjoyable evening and will give Companions an opportunity to catch up with each other. As all monies raised from the raffle are being donated to charity, the more who support this evening the merrier.
Donations to the raffle will be gratefully received.
