
Depute Grand Superintendent Robert McFarlane and Provincial Grand H. Ian French visited Deafblind Scotland where they presented a cheque for £1000 from the PGRAC of Glasgow to Chief Executive Isabella Goldie. This donation will be put to good use by DbS to help improve the quality of life of Deafblind people.

On Saturday 3rd May 2025, the Grand Superintendent, M.E.C. Gary D. Smith, and Honorary Depute Grand Superintendent, M.E.C. Alan Cuthill, attended the 2025 Investiture Service of the Military and Hospitaller Order of St Lazarus of Jerusalem, Grand Bailiwick of Scotland, held at Holy Trinity Scottish Episcopal Church in Stirling.

The Grand Superintendent M.E.C. Gary D. Smith and Honorary Depute Grand Superintendent M.E.C. Alan Cuthill recently visited Kelbourne Park School to present two generous donations.
A cheque for £1,500 was presented from the Provincial Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Glasgow, along with a cheque for £500 from the Societas Rosicruciana in Scotia.

On Wednesday, 7th May 2025, the Grand Superintendent M.E.C. Gary D. Smith visited Cadder Royal Arch Chapter No. 812 to present a Distinguished Service Award to M.E.C. William C. Shepherdson, P.Z., in recognition of his outstanding service and dedication to Cadder Royal Arch Chapter and Royal Arch Masonry in Glasgow.

Masonry in Recess, Education in Progress
The Grand Superintendent, M.E.C. Gary D. Smith, recently delivered a presentation to a discussion group in Dumbartonshire on the Knights of the Masonic Order of the Scarlet Cord, as well as the Orders of Rahab and Jericho.
The session explored the rich symbolism, history, and profound moral teachings of these appendant Orders—where the scarlet thread binds faith, courage, and duty.


On Saturday, 26th July 2025, the Grand Superintendent, M.E.C. Gary D. Smith, attended a fundraising lunch in Glasgow in support of the life-saving work of the Order of St John. He was photographed with members of The Prince’s Royal Arch Chapter No. 189.

On Saturday 26th July 2025, the Grand Superintendent, MEC Gary D. Smith, supported the annual Cheese and Wine evening hosted by the Lodge of the Provincial Grand Master, Brother Alan Cuthill — a truly memorable occasion marked by fellowship and camaraderie. He extends his sincere thanks to Brother Andrew Buchanan, Master of Partick Saint Mary’s Lodge No. 117, for the warm hospitality and fraternal friendship extended throughout the evening.

PGRAC of Glasgow – Rinks Bowling Competition 2025
The PGRAC of Glasgow Rinks Bowling Competition took place on Sunday 3rd August 2025 at Whitevale Bowling Club.

PGRAC of Glasgow – Pairs Bowling Competition 2025
The PGRAC of Glasgow Pairs Bowling Competition took place on Sunday 10th August 2025 at Whitevale Bowling Club.
We extend our sincere thanks to all who participated and supported the event. Congratulations to Partick RAC No. 113 – on their victory in the Pairs competition, and to Clydesdale RAC No. 489 – Team A, who were the runners-up.

On Sunday 17th August 2025, Glasgow hosted the Inter Provincial bowls tournament involving the Provinces of Dumbartonshire, Renfrewshire, Linlithgowshire, Lanarkshire Middle Ward, Lanarkshire Upper Ward and Glasgow. Thanks to those who helped out on the day and unlucky Cadder, who were runners up in the Rinks.

First Grand Principal W. Ramsay McGhee and Depute FGP, MEC John N. Steel (Past Grand Superintendent) pictured recently with the Grand Superintendent of Barbados, during their recent trip there.

Partick Lodge and Council No. 113 held its on Wednesday 24th September where John Wilson was installed as WCN/MEC. A very enjoyable evening was had by all and PGRAC of Glasgow wish John and his Office Bearers every success in the forthcoming year.
Congratulations to MEC David Thomson MEZ and Office Bearers who were installed at the meeting of Shamrock and Thistle RAC No.87 on Friday 26 September.

Our Grand Superintendent, MEC Gary D. Smith, continues to serve Masonry with distinction, undertaking duties south of the border in support of the Order of the Scarlet Cord, where he currently holds the office of Grand Sword Bearer.
We extend our warmest congratulations to Alan Buntain on his appointment as Provincial Grand Summus & our Grand Superintendent for his appointment as Director of Ceremonies of the newly formed Borders Province of the Order of the Scarlet Cord— particularly notable for its strong contingent of Scottish members.
On Saturday 4th October 2025, the Grand Superintendent, MEC Gary D. Smith, had the pleasure of attending the Annual Dinner Dance of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Glasgow, held at the Marriott Hotel, as a guest of the Provincial Grand Master, Brother Alan Cuthill.
The Grand Superintendent extends his sincere thanks to the Provincial Grand Master and all at the Provincial Grand Lodge of Glasgow for their warm hospitality and companionship throughout a most enjoyable evening.

On Monday 6th October 2025, the Grand Superintendent, M.E.C. Gary D. Smith, accompanied by a deputation from the Provincial Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Glasgow, attended the Annual Installation of Glasgow Tolbooth & Cathedral Royal Arch Chapter No. 67.



Edinburgh Defensive Band Cryptic Council No. 278 on Saturday 8th November 2025, held a meeting within the Masonic Centre, 101 Clifford Street, Glasgow. The meeting was enhanced by the presence of Thrice Illustrious Grand Master Ramsay McGhee and was chaired by Depute Thrice Illustrious Grand Master John N. Steel.
All present enjoyed a wonderful degree conferred by Past Thrice Illustrious Master Jim Orr and his team.
Congratulations also to PTIMs Robert McFarlane and Ian Haldane who received the Silver Trowel degree.


On Wednesday 29th November 2025, Shamrock and Thistle RAC No. 87 visited Thetis RAC No. 122 and conferred the Royal Arch Degree. Congratulations to Companions Alec Sloman and Matthew Law.
