On Saturday 7th February 2026, the Grand Superintendent, MEC Gary D. Smith, had the pleasure of attending the Bi-Annual Burns Supper of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Glasgow, held at the Marriott Hotel, as a guest of the Provincial Grand Master, Brother Alan Cuthill

On Tuesday, 24th February 2026, the Depute Grand Superintendent, M.E.C. Robert McFarlane, attended the regular meeting of St Vincent Plantation RAC No. 259, where Companions Graham Hunter and Thomas Arbuthnot were exalted to the RA degree.

 

The Depute Grand Superintendent extends his thanks to M.E.C. John Wilson, First Principal, for the warm hospitality and companionship shared during the evening.

The Provincial Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Glasgow extends its warmest congratulations to the following Senior Royal Arch Companions on their appointment to the highest offices within Glasgow Sovereign Chapter:

On Wednesday 25th March 2025, at the meeting of Partick Cryptic Council No. 113, two Companions received the Degree of R.M.

 

The T.I.M. Ill Companion Graeme Cameron, is pictured following the ceremony with Companions James Liddell & Brian Swan. 

 

It was also a pleasure for the T.I.M. to welcome Companion John Bannon as a member, who affiliated to Partick Cryptic Council this evening.

The Depute Grand Superintendent, MEC Robert McFarlane with Chief Executive Isabella Goldie presenting a cheque for £1000 to Deafblind Scotland. 

 

This donation from our members was gratefully received and will pay for 60 hours Guide Communication and Interpreter Support for Deafblind people.

On Wednesday 25th February 2026, at the meeting of Partick Lodge and Council No. 113, four brethren were elevated to the Degree of R.A.M.

 

The W.C.N., Brother John Wilson, is pictured following the ceremony with Brothers Cristian Urlea, David McGill, James McGeachin and Richard McLuckie.

 

It was also a pleasure for the W.C.N. to welcome Brother John Bannon as a member, who affiliated to Partick Lodge and Council this evening.

Visit to the PGRAC of Lanarkshire Middle Ward

 

On Saturday 14th March 2026, the Grand Superintendent M.E.C. Gary D. Smith, accompanied by M.E.C. Robert McFarlane, Depute Grand Superintendent attended the Installation Convocation of M.E.C. Gordon K. McAlpine as Grand Superintendent of the PGRAC of Lanarkshire Middle Ward, together with his Commissioned Office-Bearers.

 

The Grand Superintendent and Depute Grand Superintendent extend their sincere thanks to Grand Superintendent M.E.C. Gordon K. McAlpine and to all Companions of Lanarkshire Middle Ward for the warm hospitality and excellent fellowship enjoyed throughout the day.

 

Congratulations and best wishes are warmly conveyed to the newly installed Grand Superintendent and his Commissioned Office-Bearers.

On Wednesday 11th February 2026, at the meeting of Partick Royal Arch Chapter No. 113, Brother Roney Cook received the E. M. Degree.

Visit to the PGRAC of Fife & Kinross

On Sunday 22nd March 2026, the Grand Superintendent MEC Gary D. Smith, Depute Grand Superintendent MEC Robert McFarlane, PGH MEC Ian French, and PGJ MEC Ian Haldane, accompanied by office-bearers and Companions from the PGRAC of Glasgow, attended the Annual Divine Service of the Lodge of Glasgow St John 3 Bis, held in Glasgow Cathedral.

On Friday 27th March 2026,  Clydesdale RAC No. 489 travelled to Eyemouth at the invitation of Land of Cakes RAC No. 15 to confer the Royal Arch degree.

 

The ceremonial work was very well received and a fine evening of companionship was enjoyed by all.

 

The Land of Cakes RAC No. 15 is the Chapter where Robert Burns was made a Royal Arch Freemason.

The Provincial Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Glasgow sends its warmest congratulations to MEC Gary Smith, Grand Superintendent, on his installation this afternoon at High Council in Edinburgh as Junior Substitute Supreme Magus of the SRIS.
